This unique nutritional supplement is formulated with 1.5 grams of natural, plant based phytosterol esters. Foods containing at least 0.65 grams per serving of plant sterol esters, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 1.3 grams, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of CardioSterol supplies 1.5 grams of plant sterol esters.

What are phystosterols?
Phytosterol Esters are natural substances found in all plants. Phytosterols are bio-chemically similar to cholesterol, but unlike cholesterol, phytosterols are not harmful. When taken with or before a meal, phytosterols will compete with cholesterol for absorption.

What are the phytosterols in CardioSterol made from?
CardioSterol contains phytosterol esters (1.5 grams per serving) that are made from plants such as soybeans and corn.

Are phytosterols safe?
Phytosterols have been extensively tested and there is even an FDA approved statement about the benefit of plant sterols for heart health.
